Notable Photographs
A visual journey through the years.
A photograph can preserve more than a moment. It can capture a relationship, a place, an achievement, a shared experience, or an important chapter in a person’s journey. Here is a selected collection from decades of work, travel, and service.
About this collection
A small and evolving visual archive.
Throughout his life, Bidhan Chandra Pal has been involved in countless events, programmes, conferences, cultural activities, social initiatives, and professional engagements, both in Bangladesh and abroad. Over the decades, his journey has been documented through hundreds of thousands of photographs, capturing moments with distinguished personalities, colleagues, friends, family, young people, and communities.
This section presents a selected collection of notable photographs, highlighting the people, places, events, and moments that have been particularly meaningful in different chapters of his life and work: from his early years and youth activities to social development, cultural engagement, entrepreneurship, environmental education, climate action, ecological restoration, and international collaboration.
It is not intended to be a complete photographic archive. As this website develops, we hope to gradually expand the collection with photographs and memories from different periods of his life.
More photographs elsewhere
Bidhan has shared many photographs, reflections, and stories on social media, which can add context to particular moments, events, or relationships.
Many more appear in books and publications, and on the websites, reports, and archives of organisations, conferences, and initiatives he has been part of. These remain part of their original sources.
